  2. So cool…thanks for sharing with us, Kati. I love it!! Wait they drive on the left side of the road? I would be so confused.

  3. #katifaq Hey kati can you have tactile hallucinations when you are trying to retell any part of your past? I was abused for 17 years and even when ibwant tontalk about it I can't cause I can feel them on me as if they are there again… ideally hope you see this.. And Thank you for all you do..

  4. Hey Katie, I would love to hear your thoughts on a topic! I am a student in my last year of high school and have quite a difficult life at home but am also one of the top students in my year. I find the typical logic of teachers frustrating when they see bad grades as signals that something is upsetting a child. They will always follow up with children who are scoring badly or not handing work in, checking that everything is ok with them, but they never seem to check with those high achieving students, who from my personal experience often require the most support. Have you had any experience with this? I would be interested in hearing your thoughts!
PS: I love your videos! You have such a warm, comforting and bubbly personality, keep up the amazing work!

  5. Very interesting vloggy, oh and they have house spiders that can kill you if you are too late in a hospital, happy holiday. ( you got a week i believe lol)

  6. This might be a really dumb question but what is the animal at 8:30? I love him! (or her….) and you of course ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. So I have a question, is it weird that even though I havenโ€™t self harmed in over a year I still like to have my blades near me just in case o feel the urge to cut

  8. Australia. I was there once as part of a round the world trip I did with a friend. We bought a cheap car in Darwin, north australia, went all the way down to the south of australia and then up and across to the east coast and round the the southern tip and finished off in Sydney – took about 3 to 4 months… sleeping half the time in the car and just cooking stuff outdoors in the middle of nowhere. We drank everyday I'm afraid to say. It was really cheap though – spending less than half the minimum wage each day. Was before facebook though, so no-one really knew what I got up to. Was so hot in the outback of australia – having to drink a litre of water every hour while driving and you couldn't sleep between sunrise and sunset. LOL it was awful!!!!!!

  9. I live in Australia and kangaroos somethings scare me when they use there tails to stand because we teach kangaroos how to box over here and that's how they kick people ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ but hope you enjoyed Australia!!!

  10. It's weird but cool to see my home country through your perspective. Would love to see you in my state, Adelaide SA! It's a bit quieter than Melbourne, and if you like wine, we are one of the world's biggest exporters. ;D
Glad you seemed to have such a good time, even with the massive timezone change.

  11. This was an awesome vlog Kati! It was great seeing your own little moments of your trip as well as vid con. ๐Ÿ˜€ All the animals were so cute.

  12. Hi Katie. This vlog reminded me of my time in Oz ๐Ÿ™‚ I studied in Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia for a year. If you like koalas and kangaroos, I suggest you visit Queensland, Southern Australia or Western Australia next time. These three states allow you to feed kangaroos and cuddle koalas.

  13. I live on the great ocean road and have NEVER seen a live koala in my 28 years. Kangaroos are everywhere (avoid them though because wild ones will kick/box you) but koalas are so lazy lol. In mating season you can hear koalas…they make a very distinct noise. Youโ€™ll never see a platypus or echidna in the wild either. Have to watch for emus and Roos getting on the highway in the nighttime though!! Theyโ€™ll write your car off and not end so well for them :(.
Also never approach a wombat in the wild. They might look cute and cuddly but theyโ€™re really fast and theyโ€™d break your legs by head butting you. Sounds like a terrifying place but itโ€™s not really. You have to be bushwalking/camping to come across any of these. Snakes are more likely…you want to see lizards though because they kill the snakes!

Love where I live. :). Love the beaches, the Bush, close to everything we need but away from the city :). Glad you liked your trip

  14. aww this is so beautiful !! I love that her videos really reflect her personality and always feel so cozyy and warm and nice, what a wholesome human <3

  15. Omg Iโ€™m in your video ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™m so glad you liked australia ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Also I love you vlogging ๐Ÿ˜€

  16. Well that was a really nice video. The only video of Australia I had ever seen was the world's most deadliest snakes of which most were in Australia. I wonder what made someone think of teaching kangaroos to box? They really can't advertise nikes because their feet are too big and they have those tiny hands. Do they extra strong wine there and sit by the beach in the hot sun and think "I really should put big padded gloves on those tiny little hands and sell tickets." Maybe they'll put skates on the koalas and have roller derby next. I think that would be fun to watch. Lazy little koalas taking a whole day to circle the track while taking breaks to get snacks from the tree vendors. It was cute that you went in that store to get all that make up. I was thinking she might want to look good for the head hunters if they still have them there. Or maybe that was head shrinkers. Probably why people call psychiatrists shrinks came from Australia. Don't worry about driving on the wrong side of the road. I can't judge you as I once went the wrong direction on a one way street and had to drive up on to the sidewalk in a hurry to get out of the way to wait for an opening to turn around. But anyway I hope you are safe in California from those horrible fires. I've been worried about you.

  17. Please say you tried Tim Tams? Also thanks for the amazing creator chat! I used some of the footage in my day 1 vidcon video! Thanks for being awesome!

  20. Hank Green, a man full of inspirational quotes.
    Like,
"You're never going to feel bad if you loved people and you were curious,"
    and
"You have no obligations to your former self, they are dumber than you and they donโ€™t exist."
    But most of all,
"Vlogging ,… Never Stop;,, Because that's the healthy decision!"

  21. What about the street paint during VidCon? I'm pretty sure I saw you in another Youtuber's video. Did you just not film it or was it not as enjoyable?

  22. Hi Kati, when do you think you'll have the shame resilience video out? The shame and guilt video is really striking a chord with me right now and I could use some resilience.

  23. #katifaq hey kati,
is it okay to feel really uncomfortable around teens your age? i feel comfortable around teens my age at school because i've practically grown up with them and we all are a uniform. meeting the same people outside is kind of uncomfortable, and meeting a group of teens i don' t really know in society or things like that is incredibly scary. is it normal?
