Gangtok, the capital city of the state of
Sikkim is a city amidst snow laden mountain peaks, breathing clouds, hill top houses and

As the name suggests it is dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The temple is so small that at a particular
time only 1 person can visit the insides of the place by crawling. Located at an altitude of 6500 meters from
the sea level this place is also a perfect location for sightseeing. At No.5 is the very famous Tsomgo Lake.
This is a holy lake which is worshipped by the Sikkimese and also houses a small temple
dedicated to Lord Shiva. Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve
The place got its name from a location at Mount Kanchendzonga, which is the 3rd highest
peak in the world. It is an extremely beautiful place with many
glaciers and also is home to approximately 550 species of birds. Do Drul Chorten Stupa
It was believed that this place was surrounded with evil spirits and people who visited the
place lost their lives; hence a much respected lama of Tibet Trulshig Rinpoche who followed
Nyingma Order of Buddhism visited this place and built this stupa in 1946 to drive away
all the dark energies. Seven Sisters Waterfall
It is called Seven Sisters Waterfall as all the seven waterfalls are aligned sideways
and is a view that will take your breath away. Rumtek Monastery
It is famous for the Golden stupa that is located inside the monastery and has preserved
the relics of the 16th Karmapa. Also, various Tibetan festivals are organized
throughout the year that attracts tourist to visit this place. Tashi View Point
The place is a circular setting where a maximum of 4 people can stand at a single point of
time. It also provides a sparkling view of the Kanchendzonga
Mountain. Lachung

  1. I have visited 8 places among 12 of them….I went on a school trip…it was really the heaven…the beauty of nature really caught my heart…in fact those were one of the golden days of my life with friends
