Fort Worth, TX man remembers the weekend the Beatles spent at his family’s ranch

Here’s a photo of one
of our flight attendant feeding Paul grapes on
one of the aircraft. [MUSIC] They’ve been in the states for a month. At that point my dad had invited them
to spend the weekend at our ranch in Southern Missouri. They dressed up in their
very best cowboy outfits, which aside from Mango, he’s the only
one that really had anything, and he had sort of a Western shirt and
a belt. So we went horseback riding with them. That’s the first time they’d
ever been on a horse. This is John at the barn,
playing with our cat Maverick. This is a great photo of Ringo
with his gun pointed to my head. For many years,
if you look back in the Beatles history, these dates were showed nothing, because it was such a secret just for
security reasons. Locally, obviously, the word got out. We had people that would tell me later,
yeah, I took our boat down the river,
and then docked it on your ranch, and walked three miles up to the ranch
house, and peeped in the window. But, generally, the overall
public didn’t know this happened. It was that secret. [BLANK_AUDIO]
